Bolton School Win U13 ISFA Cup

On the 4th March the U13 Bolton football squad won against Forest school in the ISFA cup final in Burton-on-Trent with a 2-1 victory. Bolton scored 30 goals in total over the entire cup, and were the favourites to win the cup from the start.

Bolton took the lead with the first goal from a free kick taken by Harry, and just before half time Natt scored a goal in the box. However, Forest came back in the second half and Daniel scored a goal. Daniel was a threat throughout the game and almost scored again, if it hadn’t been for Alex. Throughout the match Alex and Sam were beating drums to songs with the rest of Year 8 (apart from 8C who were at Patterdale) singing along to songs made by Alex and Sam.

Bolton’s coach, Doctor Fraser Mullins said, "This has been a tremendous team effort and over the course of the tournament we have had to count on each of the sixteen boys in the squad; they can be incredibly proud of themselves.  Today will have no doubt provided them with a lifelong memory.  It is certainly good preparation for our forthcoming tour to The Netherlands when we will play the Ajax Academy."

Before the Final, Bolton beat 4 other teams King’s Chester and The Grammar School at Leeds 6-0, QEGS Blackburn 10-0 and Millfield Prep school 6-0.
